Also known as Precision Jumping, Standing Precision, or simply Pre,
the Precision is a jump from one obstacle to another, whether it be a crack in the sidewalk, two ledges or even handrails.
Benefits of the Precision?
Step on a crack, break Mom's back...
Just because something rhymes doesn't mean it is true. In fact, step on every crack you see. The quickest way to improve Precisions is to bring life into every step you take. As you walk to the store, work, hiking, etc. step on every crack, rock, curb, and tree root you see! Put emphasis on landing on the pad of your feet, see how they articulate with different surfaces. The more purpose you put into every step the faster you will see progression.
How do I jump further?
Signs your precision is improving.
- How quiet a landing sounds is a direct relation to how much impact was introduced to the body, or improperly dispersed throughout.
- Also it means your control is up to par and bigger jumps are in your near future.
- Now you don't have to achieve a full squatting position whilst landing a Precision, depending on distance and height of the obstacle being jumped to, but it is important to know what to look for in your landing position.
3) Absorbing impact with your Posterior Chain.
