Red Bull's Art of Motion: Detroit Aftermath! 09/16/2011
Detroit was amazing! The energy was high, athlete caliber was out the roof and the camaraderie was phenomenal! John Reynolds was insane!!!!! We are so proud of him. He took second in the wild card, while Miguel Southee Jr. took first! Regardless of placing, he most certainly left his mark and we are sure you will be seeing him again in future events! Check out his run! Justin did by far the best two runs of his life!!!!! After the first day he was in 9th place! Check it out! Not too Shabby! Now for the run that would have made him finals...yeah...you are in for a SHOCKER!!!!! Red Bull is at it again, simply 10 days after Brazil...Art of Motion comes to the US for the third time! Athletes from all over the world will be migrating to the streets of Detroit, Michigan to represent their country and style! For all the information on locations, dates and times click this link http://www.redbull.com/cs/Satellite/en_INT/Article/art-of-motion-tracks-into-motown-021243063644017 Tranquil Movement's very own Justin Sheaffer and John Reynolds will be competing in Detroit on the 26th and 27th of August! Justin will be in the "pro" competition and John will be in the "wild card" competition...the winner of the wild card, gets to compete against the "pros" and we are willing to put money down on John, we could be a little bias though. Red Bull Art of Motion: Sao Paulo, Brazil was a HUGE SUCCESS! The caliber of athlete and tricks executed where phenomenal! The event took place on Saturday, August 13th at the University of Sao Paulo. It was streamed live internationally on the Brazilian Red Bull Website. Ryan Doyle took first, Jason Paul took 2nd and Tim Shieff took 3rd. Cato Aspmo walked away with the best trick award! Justin learned a lot from taking part in Brazil; the judging system, creativity and most important, his confidence level. He was the first athlete to perform, and walked away with 11th place.
